Sprigplay

Preschool at home · ages 3–5

A whole year of preschool play, already planned.

Thirty-six themed weeks, five short play sessions each — for your child's exact age. Open the card, grab a spoon or a sock, play for 15 minutes. No screens, no shopping, no Sunday-night planning.

  • 180 play sessions per age, each one a single printable page
  • Separate editions for age 3, age 4 and age 5 — all three included
  • Letters, numbers, little hands, big moves and feelings, every week
  • Uses what's already in your kitchen drawer and toy box
  • A short note for you each week: what to expect, what not to worry about

What's inside

36 themes

All About Me, Colors, Shapes, Farm, Weather, Feelings, Water, Ocean, Space, Dinosaurs, Around the World and more.

Week at a glance

One page per week: the five sessions, what to gather on Sunday, a checklist to tick off together.

Easier / harder on every card

Kids jump between levels. Each card tells you how to scale it in a sentence.

Why it works

One line per activity, grounded in guidance from the AAP, NAEYC and the CDC — so you know it's not busywork.

Three age editions

Same theme, different challenge. Siblings can play together; you print the edition that fits.

Print what you need

US Letter PDFs that also print fine on A4. Print a week at a time — no 300-page printing marathon.

Sock Color Sort

  1. Dump a pile of clean socks on the floor. Say: "Let's find all the blue ones!"
  2. Make a pile for each color. Count each pile together, touching every sock.
  3. Ask: "Which pile has the most? How do you know?"

Why it works: Sorting and comparing small groups builds the number sense that later math stands on. (NAEYC)

Questions parents ask

How much time does it take each day?

Most sessions take 10–20 minutes, plus a minute or two to grab materials. Stop while it's still fun — short and regular beats long and rare.

Do I need to buy supplies?

Almost never. The plan uses paper, crayons, tape, cups, spoons, socks, pillows, a muffin tin and similar household things. A few cards suggest optional extras.

Which age edition should I use?

All three are included. Start with your child's age; if a card feels too easy or too hard, each one tells you how to adjust, or simply switch editions.

Is it religious?

No. Sprigplay is secular and play-based.
